Wallet c.1915

This wallet of the most remarkable First World War objects currently on display in the Somerset Military Museum.

The wallet belonged to Private Frank Rosewell of the 7th Battalion The Somerset Light Infantry.

You can see the hole made in the wallet and its contents made by a German bullet. Private Rosewell was lucky to survive being shot by the enemy.
