This consists of narrated excerpts from diaries, letters and poems, accompanied by music by women composers and a slideshow of contemporary images. A portable exhibition accompanies the performance.

The experiences of women who lived through this tragic event, from nurses to land-workers, munitionettes to political activitists, are vividly illustrated by the music of remarkable composers including Nadia and Lili Boulanger, Alma Mahler, Rebecca Clarke and songwriter Muriel Herbert.

The programme lasts approximately one hour and will be appearing at a variety of venues across the South West, including town halls, museums, churches, theatres, arts centres, village halls, schools and community centres.
