There will be an exhibition to commemorate the centenary of World War One at Street Library from Wednesday 2nd July, 2014 until Saturday 30th August, 2014.
The exhibition has been produced by Street Parish Council working closely with The Street Society. There will be three display panels: one containing a timeline of the war with copies of memorabilia from local people, one panel with information about conscientious objection and a third panel giving more detail about the soldiers and their families from Street.
There will be an exhibition plinth in which memorabilia will be displayed. There are also albums of postcards and drawings supplied by local residents. A comment book will be available in case people have requests for information and an enthusiast with detailed knowledge of the war will be available at selected dates at the library.
For more information about the exhibition please contact Street Parish Council on 01458 440588 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
