Remembering the First World War: bringing the past to life

Two members of the congregation of Holy Trinity Church, Taunton, have researched those remembered on the memorial to those killed in the parish during the First World War.  These are inscribed on the panels in the Lady Chapel, dedicated as a war memorial and in memory of the father of one of those killed.

Each of those remembered have been researched, and their details prepared on a display: ages, dates/places of death, where buried, addresses where they lived, and in some cases, even photos.

The display will be in the church from the 4th of August until the 7th September, enabling local schools to make use of it.

All are most welcome to visit the display.
